Design
Garden design & plans
A garden plan that works for Dubai's heat, before a single tree goes in the ground.
Garden design turns a plot, a budget and a style into a buildable plan — hydrozoned irrigation, the right plant palette and a realistic cost range — before construction starts.
From AED 5 % of build cost (design fee)
Design fee typically runs 5–10% of the total build cost, or a fixed fee for a smaller garden — see the cost guide.

Why it matters
What's included
Style-matched plant palette
Planting chosen from species proven for Dubai's heat, salt and light — not a generic moodboard list.
Irrigation planned from day one
Hydrozones and water use worked out at design stage, not retrofitted after planting.
Realistic build costs
Design tied to AED/m² ranges for each element, so the plan matches an actual budget, not just a render.

Deep dive
Garden design & plans
The cheapest mistake to fix in a garden is the one still on paper. A proper design — plot survey, style, plant palette and a hydrozoned irrigation layout — catches the problems that are expensive to fix after planting: a lawn and a drought-tolerant bed sharing one irrigation zone, a shade tree planted where it'll outgrow a boundary setback, a plant palette that looks right on a moodboard but struggles in real Dubai sun.
Start in the playground
Before committing to a design brief, try our free design your garden tool — sketch your plot, drop in a style, elements and plants, and see areas, a build-cost range and summer water use update as you go. It's the same underlying logic a full design uses, just self-serve: useful for working out roughly what you want before a first conversation, or for a small garden that doesn't need a full design engagement at all.
Four garden styles
Most Dubai gardens we design fall into one of four broad styles, each with its own plant palette, materials and water use: tropical & jungly (lush, layered planting, higher water use), elegant & manicured (clipped hedging, formal lines), luxury resort (pool-focused, palms, golden-hour materials) and desert modern (native and adapted planting, the lowest water use of the four). A design doesn't have to pick one purely — most real gardens blend elements of two — but starting from a named style keeps the plant palette and materials coherent instead of a scattered mix.
From plan to real costs
A design is only useful if the costs behind it are real. Every element in our plans — lawn, planting beds, paving, pool, pergola, irrigation, lighting — is priced against the same AED/m² or AED-each ranges published across our build services, not a single made-up lump sum, so a plan's total cost range is traceable back to its parts. That also means a design can flex to a budget: dropping a water feature or reducing paved area moves the total in a way you can see, rather than a designer just picking a smaller number.
Major landscaping changes usually need an NOC
A full design-and-build project — new hardscape, a pergola, significant replanting — typically needs your developer's approval before work starts. We can prepare the site plan most developers expect as part of the job; see our NOC guide for the general process.

How it works
- 1
Brief & site visit
Plot size, sun/shade, budget and how the garden will actually be used.
- 2
Concept & style

- 3
Planting & irrigation plan
Species matched to the plot, laid out with hydrozoned irrigation from the start.
- 4
Costed plan
Areas and elements priced against real AED/m² ranges, not a single lump sum.
- 5
Handover to build
Drawings and plant list ready for our build team or your own contractor, including NOC-ready detail where needed.
