How much does pool and garden maintenance cost in Dubai?
Combined pool and garden care in Dubai starts from about AED 500 a month. What changes the number is your garden's area, your pool size, and how complex the planting and pool equipment are.

The short answer
Pool and garden maintenance in Dubai typically runs from AED 500 a month for a modest villa garden with a small pool, up to AED 1,770 a month or more for a large, complex estate garden with a large pool. Every price in this guide is from AED and excludes 5% VAT — get an exact number for your own garden from the calculator.
What actually drives the price
Five things move the number: garden area, lawn type, pool size, complexity, and tree count.
| Factor | What it means | How it moves the price |
|---|---|---|
| Garden area (m²) | Total planted/lawn area, excluding the pool itself | Price rises with area, but the rate per extra m² gets cheaper as the garden gets bigger |
| Lawn type | Natural grass, artificial turf, or no lawn | Natural lawn costs the most to maintain; artificial and lawn-free gardens cost a little less |
| Pool size | None, small (≤25 m² water), medium (≤50 m²), large (>50 m²) | Adds a flat amount per month by size tier, since pool visits are weekly regardless of garden size |
| Complexity | Simple, moderate, or complex planting and features | More intricate planting, edging, water features and pool equipment need more time per visit |
| Tree count | 0–5, 6–15, or 16+ trees | More trees mean more pruning, leaf clearing and root checks, added as a flat monthly amount |
How we calculate your price
Behind the calculator is one fixed formula, used for every quote — the number you see is the number you'd get working it out by hand. In plain terms: your garden has a base rate for the first 100 m², then a per-m² rate that steps down for larger areas, so bigger gardens get a better rate per square metre, not a worse one. That figure is then adjusted for lawn type and complexity, and a flat amount is added for tree count. Your pool adds its own flat monthly amount by size tier. The garden and pool totals are added together and rounded to the nearest AED 10, with a AED 300 minimum for any active plan.

How often the crew comes
Smaller, simpler gardens get around two visits a month; most mid-sized or moderately complex gardens get roughly a weekly visit; larger or more complex ones get closer to twice a week. Every plan adds a weekly irrigation check from June to September, when Dubai's heat makes a watering schedule easy to get wrong. Pools are serviced weekly year-round, stepping up to twice a week in summer for large pools, when heat and pool use both increase algae and chemical demand.
What the wider Dubai market charges
Independent garden-maintenance contracts in Dubai are commonly quoted from around AED 300 a month for a small, simple villa garden, up to AED 1,000–3,500 a month for large or heavily planted plots, according to Dubai landscaping and property-services guides. Pool-only maintenance, covering weekly cleaning, chemical balancing and equipment checks, is typically quoted from about AED 350 up to AED 1,000–1,800 a month depending on pool size and visit frequency. A combined pool-and-garden plan generally costs less than running two separate contracts, since one crew and one call-out cover both.
What "simple", "moderate" and "complex" actually mean
These labels sound subjective, but they map to concrete things a crew has to spend time on. A simple garden is mostly lawn and a handful of easy shrubs, with straightforward access and no special features. A moderate garden adds things like defined planting beds, hedging that needs regular shaping, climbers on a wall or pergola, or a slightly larger plant palette to manage. A complex garden layers in multiple planting zones, ornamental or specimen plants that need individual attention, water features, extensive palm or tree cover, or awkward access — anything that turns a 20-minute walk-through into real, considered work. If you're not sure which band your garden falls into, the calculator's description helps, and a real quote confirms it after we've actually seen the space.
Getting a price you can actually rely on
The calculator gives an honest estimate from the details you enter, but it can't see your garden. Unusual features — a large water feature, an oversized or irregularly shaped pool, heritage or very high-value planting that needs specialist care — can move a real quote above the calculator's number. That's normal: the calculator is a starting point for the conversation, not a binding price, and any plan you actually start is confirmed against your specific garden before the first visit.
What's typically included
Inclusions vary by provider. A pool-and-garden plan usually covers mowing, pruning, weeding and feeding for the garden; brushing, vacuuming, chemical balancing and filter checks for the pool; and a general irrigation check on every visit. See the current inclusions on our Garden Care page for exactly what's covered, plan by plan.
Monthly plan vs paying per visit
Some Dubai households pay a gardener or pool technician per visit rather than signing a monthly contract, which can look cheaper on a single invoice. Over a year it rarely is, once you account for the visits that get skipped when a one-off crew is busy elsewhere, the lack of accountability if something's missed, and the time cost of arranging every visit yourself. A monthly plan trades a little flexibility for a fixed, predictable cost and a crew that's actually responsible for the outcome, not just the hours worked.
