Dubai's growing year runs opposite to most temperate gardens: October to March is for planting and being outdoors, and June to September is about keeping everything alive rather than adding to it.

## The gardening year

- Oct–Mar: Main planting season (October is the busiest month for planting.)
- Nov–Mar: Comfortable outdoor season
- Jun–Sep: Midday outdoor work ban 12:30–15:00 (15 Jun–15 Sep)
- Dec–Mar: Most likely rain window
- Jul–Aug: Peak summer heat
